Lakenvaas van Simone Post
Lakenvaas van Simone Post
The goal was to impart the tactility and mobility of fabric to ceramic, a hard and static material. The basis for this design was the perfection of an ironed tablecloth that hangs folded over a table. The spotted version of this vase is the same sheet, but after a successful dinner with loved ones.
By folding and deforming the vase by hand after casting, shapes are created that would never be obtainable in mass production and from a mold alone. The maker gives it his own twist, so each vase is unique and the ceramic has the mobility of a fluttering sheet.
This vase is made by hand, each product is unique in color. There may be imperfections such as pinholes or small deformations.
